Workfree Privacy Policy

Welcome to Workfree (hereinafter referred to as "the App"). We value your privacy highly. This policy explains how we handle your personal information.

1. Information Collection and Use

The App is a personal finance management and stock portfolio tracking tool.

• Local Storage: All data you enter into the App (including stock holdings, transaction amounts, investment notes, etc.) is stored locally on your mobile device by default.
• Cloud Backup (Optional): If you actively enable the cloud backup feature, your data will be encrypted and uploaded to your personal Google Drive. Aside from this, we do not upload your financial data to any other servers.
• AI Smart Import (Optional): The App offers an "AI Smart Import" feature, allowing you to upload screenshots of brokerage statements for automatic transaction recognition.
  • API Key Usage: This feature requires you to provide your personal Google AI Studio API Key. Your API Key is stored locally on your device and is used solely for direct authentication and communication with Google servers. We do not collect, store, or transmit your API Key to our servers.
  • Image Processing: When you use this feature, the selected images are sent to the Google Gemini API for text recognition and analysis.
  • Data Privacy: We use the images solely to extract transaction data (such as stock names, prices, shares, etc.). After processing is complete, we do not permanently retain your original images on any server. Data processing by Google Gemini adheres to Google's Privacy Policy and the Google AI Studio Terms of Service.
  • Your Choice: This feature is optional. If you do not wish for images to be analyzed, you can choose to manually enter transaction data.

2. Permissions

The App requests only necessary system permissions:

• Internet Access: Used to retrieve the latest stock prices and currency exchange rates from third-party services (e.g., market data APIs) and to utilize the AI recognition service. This process does not transmit your personal identity information.
• Google Drive Access: Requested only when you enable the cloud backup feature, used solely for uploading and downloading your backup files.
• Photo Library / Camera Access: Requested only when you use the AI Smart Import feature, used to select or take screenshots of statements.
• Advertising Identifiers: The App may use advertising identifiers (such as Apple's IDFA or Google's Advertising ID) to provide personalized advertisements and to analyze the effectiveness of our ad campaigns. These identifiers are not linked to your personal identity. You can manage or reset these identifiers in your mobile device's privacy settings at any time.

3. Google Drive Data Access Statement

The App provides a cloud backup feature that requires access to your Google Drive.

• Access Scope: The App accesses only its specific "Application Data Folder". We cannot read, modify, or delete any other files in your Google Drive (such as your photos, documents, etc.).
• Data Purpose: This permission is used exclusively to upload encrypted backup files and to download them for restoration when requested by you.
